Q :
If a Muslim man marries a Christian woman would it be acceptable in Islam for her to continue being a Christian and not convert to Islam?

A :
It is OK since a Muslim man is allowed to marry a Christian or Jewish woman. However, based on precaution, it is obligatory to refrain from marrying a non-Muslim woman in permanent marriage. The reason behind it is that Muslims do not deny the preceding Abrahamic religions, but they know Islam as the most complete and the last divine religion. Q : Can I marry a non-Muslim man? Click to view answer
A :
No, a Muslim woman is not allowed to marry a non-Muslim man at all, neither permanently nor temporarily [1].

In fact, the rules of marriage for Muslim women is much stricter that those for men. The reason behind it goes back to the verse that says “Men are the managers (protectors) of women, because of the advantage Allah has granted some of them over others, and by virtue of their spending out of their wealth…” (4:34)

The Islamic belief is that in a married life, men have authority over women, and Islam will not allow a non-Muslim man to have authority over a Muslim woman.

Q : Can Muslims sing? Click to view answer
A :
Sure they can! but they have to avoid Ghina:

Ghina is the type of song that is branded for amusement gatherings and parties.
Ghina is related to the type of song; meaning that if the lyrics of a song convey positive messages to the listener but the music of the song is jaunty, it makes that music forbidden (Haram) [6].
Ghina is when the lyrics of a song are about describing the beauties of a woman (whether physical or erotic description), or it has been written about wine, or dance or other prohibited (Haram) things in Islam [7].
Ghina is any song that changes the mood of the listener; makes him/her either happy or sad; any music or song that makes a gap between the present moods of the listener with his/her “real self” and weakens the control of the person over her speech or behavior.
Ghina is the sort of song that has such hopeless content, which destroys positive motivations of the listener.
Ghina is any kind of song that by content, lyrics, or the specific sound of the musical instrument can arouse sexual temptation.

Q : Why Muslims can't marry non-Muslims? Click to view answer
A :
The holy Quran says: “Do not marry idolatresses until they embrace faith. A faithful slave girl is better than an idolatress, though she should impress you. And do not marry [your daughters] to idolaters until they embrace faith. A faithful slave is better than an idolater, though he should impress you….” (2:221)

Because As soon as one gets married, he/she is not fully independent any more to decide for everything in life. Many habits and interests will be influenced by the preferences of his/her partner and even some of his/her beliefs. Getting married to a non-Muslim means to be seriously exposed day and night to the practices and beliefs of a religion other than Islam, or even to feed the mind with anti-religious thoughts. This might at the first place hinder one from practicing Islam, then make him/her indifferent to Islamic beliefs and principles, and finally end in converting to a non-Muslim!
