The School of Jafar Al-Sadiq

Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (A.S)- the 6th infallible Imam of Muslims - was born in 702 CE. At the age of 31, when his father, Imam Muhammad Baqir (A.S) was fatally poisoned, the function of leadership was assigned to him.

Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (A.S), for the next 34 years, built up the basis of the Muslim society by training a whole generation of Islamic academics in numerous fields of knowledge. Jabir ibn Hayyan who is considered as the Father of Chemistry was among his students.
